Why go technical with us

Serious training, honestly priced.

PADI TecRec — and TDI

We teach both the PADI TecRec ladder and the TDI technical pathway. As an SDI/TDI centre we can route you the way that best fits your logbook and goals.

All-inclusive kit & gas

Your backmount rig, stage and deco cylinders, and every gas fill — up to 100% oxygen — are in the price. Prefer sidemount? Same price, your choice. No stripped-down headline rate with surprises added on the boat.

Real training grounds, minutes away

Sheer walls and drift reefs like El Fanadir, Umm Gamar and Abu Ramada South put genuine technical practice — trim, gas switches, staged decompression — a short boat ride from our marina, before you take the same skills deep.

Good to know

Technical diving questions, answered.

What is technical (tec) diving?

Technical diving goes beyond recreational no-stop limits — deeper, longer, and with planned (staged) decompression. It uses redundant gas supplies (a backmount cylinder with stage/deco cylinders, or sidemount), multiple gases, and rigorous planning. Our courses take you from your first deco dive at Tec 40 all the way to 65 m on trimix.

Do I need to be a very experienced diver to start?

You need Advanced Open Water, ideally Enriched Air and Deep, and around 30 logged dives to begin Tec 40 (more for the higher levels). If you are not quite there yet we can build a plan — Deep Diver and Nitrox are the natural stepping stones.

Should I choose PADI or TDI?

Both are globally respected and the in-water skills are near-identical. PADI TecRec (Tec 40/45/50) is the most recognised brand; TDI often prices a little lower and is the natural path from SDI. Tell us your certifications and where you want to go and we will recommend the cleaner route.

Is all the equipment provided?

Yes. Every course includes your rig — a backmount cylinder with stage and deco cylinders, or a sidemount setup if you prefer — plus all gases. If you own a technical rig you are welcome to dive it once we have checked the configuration.

What configuration do you teach in?

Standard backmount with one or more stage/deco cylinders — including an oxygen-rich deco stage — or full sidemount if that is your configuration. We also teach a dedicated Tec Sidemount course if you want to learn the sidemount system properly from the start.

How much does trimix cost?

Helium is expensive and its price moves, so we quote Tec Trimix 65 per project once we know your gas plan and dive count — with a firm, all-in figure rather than a fixed advertised rate that would not hold.

Ready to cross the line?

Tell us your certification level, dive count and goals — we'll map the right technical pathway, PADI or TDI, and get you planning your first deco dive.
